FEEBLE LITTLE HORSE TIN MAN

Pittsburg four piece feeble little horse announce new album Girl with Fish and release their swirling noise pop track 'Tin Man'. The band work together to stitch an intricate sonic tapestry of genres and lo-fi production styles, 'Tin Man' is a combination of glitchy, textural electronics and swells of fuzzed shoegaze guitars - multi-layered music with a distinctive pop melodies floating above the noise. The band have a deeply collaborative DIY work ethic, meticulously editing and sharing files and cycling through endless variations until they are happy with the sound, as member Ryan Walchonski explains, "This song went back and forth through Google Drive links, trying to come up with the best iteration of the song that we were all happy with; vocals recorded, scrapped and re-recorded, drums scrapped and re-recorded, the chorus at one point was completely different." This way of working and DIY sensibility is something the band feel strongly about, championing the accessibility of music and flouting the often gatekeepy attitudes associated with being an artist, "I want a kid to hear this album and buy an audio interface and a microphone," says Kelley. "I want them to think, 'If they can record in their bedrooms, I can do it myself too.'" Girl with Fish is set for release on June 9th on Saddle Creek Records, check out the video for 'Tin Man' made by the bands own Lydia Slocum. -Toby Evans-Jesra
